What Shadows Reclaim

A dark, science fantasy epic following an assassin who must risk everything to complete a contract no-one expects him to survive.

Inspired by classics such as Dune and The Book of the New Sun, What Shadows Reclaim is currently being queried to traditional publishing agents and is planned to be the first entry of a trilogy.

Unnamed Science Fiction Project

A science fiction epic set in the far future, where humans are grown in tanks, Earth has disappeared, and an enigmatic Sovereign Eternal tries to keep her empire from crumbling into a thousand warring states.

The first draft has now been completed at just over 200,000 words. After a few weeks, I will be going back to start the editing and revision process and hopefully start querying it to traditional publishing agents.

Saga of Fallen Kings

A fantasy epic and the subject of much of my worldbuilding series here. It began on RoyalRoad as a webnovel titled A King of His Own, and followed a prince who reluctantly accompanied his father and younger brother on an invasion of a great rival kingdom, only to die in battle and be resurrected by a mysterious sorceress. Forever changed, and thrust onto his father’s throne, he had no choice but to continue the war while those around him grow fearful and suspicious – and the goddess of death herself tried to drag him back into her embrace.

The original webnovel, which can be found here (it was renamed at some point) was intended to be the first of a series of books that never happened. Looking back, it was clear to me that while the story premise was interesting, the story itself had more than a few issues and so I decided to shelve the sequels until I had more experience. I also decided to vastly change the project itself, expanding the setting and scope of the story in a worldbuilding project I’ve been slowly working on for several years.

Ultimately, this means the original webnovel will eventually be changed and rewritten almost completely, with a much greater amount of planning going into it, a much greater scope, and many more characters and storylines. I’m very excited to finally get started on it as a novel series, but I want to make sure it’s done right.

Until then, however, feel free to check out my worldbuilding posts where I will discuss various facets of the world and setting – and maybe even some short stories set in it.
